Results from WebAIMâs screen October 2009 screen reader user survey
The results from WebAIMâs survey of screen reader users during October this year have been posted. Like the previous survey, some results are expected while others are a little surprising.
A few highlights:
- Half of the respondents (53% of those with disabilities) use a screen reader on a mobile phone or mobile handheld device
- 10.4% of respondents have JavaScript disabled in their browser (14.7% donât know whether it is enabled or disabled)
- CAPTCHA, inaccessibly authored Flash, and ambiguous links are the three most problematic items the respondents encounter
- 51.3% of respondents use YouTube frequently
